Cinematic Studio Series Cubase Expression Maps

This is a set of Cubase Expression Maps for the Cinematic Studio Series of products including Cinematic Studio Strings (also compatible with the Cinematic Studio Solo Strings), Cinematic Studio Brass, and Cinematic Studio Woodwinds. There are a total of 10 maps. Four maps for the CSS/CSSS series: CSS Violins, Violas & Cellos, CSS Basses, CSS Full Ensemble, and CSS Lite Ensemble. Four maps for the CSB library: CSB Trumpets & Horns, CSB Trombones, CSB Tuba, and CSB Full Ensemble. Two maps for the CSW library: CSW Flutes and CSW Oboes, English Horn (Cor Anglais), Clarinets & Bassoons.

The maps have been designed around the factory defaults, using CC58 and also the default Key Switches assigned to the library's UI. Their configuration goes as follows:

CSS has 3 kinds of long articulations - Sustain/Long, Standard Legato, and Advanced Legato. These are hard coded into the maps and only require a single articulation lane for them to work. Some of the other articulations may also use Legato. They have been assigned dedicated Legato ON/OFF lanes on the bottom of the map within Cubase which will not interfere with the main Sustain patches. The Marcato articulation may be switched to use a Spiccato Overlay or not. Finally, all of the articulations can be switched to use the mutes (Con Sordino) which can be turned on or off from their own dedicated lanes on the bottom of the expression map. 

For CSB, the Legato articulation has a dedicated lane on the top of the map within Cubase's Key Editor. All other articulations with a Legato switch use the Legato ON/OFF lanes on the bottom of the map. The Marcato articulation may be switched to use a Repetition Overlay or not.

Product Update: Since the release of CSS v.1.7, the names of the legato articulations have been changed from Standard & Advanced to Low Latency (LL) and Expressive (EXP). All owners of the original maps get a free update. New users have access to both versions of all the maps.

Tip: You could still use the original CSS Expression Maps with CSSS as the name of the legato articulations remain unchanged.
